Savannah and Coastal Georgia’s Collaborative Family Law

Collaborative divorce law is designed to help couples end their marriage without the contentious, adversarial proceedings typically associated with traditional divorce. Unlike litigation, collaborative divorce involves a structured process where both parties—along with their respective attorneys and other professionals including neutral financial experts, child specialists, and mental health experts—agree to work together amicably to resolve their differences and reach a mutually acceptable settlement.

We are committed to a client-centered process that focuses on the legal, emotional and financial elements of divorce and allows couples  to negotiate in an environment free from the threat of litigation.

The lynchpin of the collaboratie divorce process is that there is no court involvement until all issues are resolved.

The collaborative divorce model consists of an interdisciplinary team of professionals, all of whom are committed to assisting the clients in reaching resolution of their issues in a respectful manner, with a focus on preserving their assets and acting in the best interest of the children, when children are involved.

Divorce doesn't have to be a dirty word. Collaborative Practice is a respecful, non-adversarial way to find solutions for divorcing couples.
